Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society of Henderson held a ribbon cutting on December 1 to celebrate the establishment of the organization and its new Chamber membership.  The 501 (c)3 non-profit organization rescues and places local animals with loving homes - some as far away as Canada.  They have assisted and gotten veterinary care for thousands of animals and continue to strive to make life in our local community better for them. 

The Colonial Center held a ribbon cutting on November 4 to celebrate their new Chamber membership.  Located in downtown South Hill, Virginia, The Colonial Center is one of the few remaining vaudeville theatres of its era in Virginia and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
