Chamber Television Enters Fourth Season

           The Henderson-Vance County Chamber of Commerce marked the three year anniversary of In Focus... with the Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, November 4.

            The one-hour cable television program entered its fourth season continuing to feature local business and Chamber related news and can be seen on WAX-TV 34 (cable channel 7) at 7 p.m.

            One program is produced per month by Mike Brooks Productions, along with Chamber staff and airs every Thursday that month.

            Some of the features viewers can continue to expect from In Focus... with the Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce will include a featured business of the month, updates on local economic development activities, educational spotlights, upcoming Chamber of Commerce events and other events in our area.

      There are numerous benefits to the Chamber’s efforts to produce a local news show, according to Mike Moore, owner of Postal Plus Business Center and Chamber marketing committee chair.

 “Three years ago, the Chamber of Commerce decided to expand its 

arsenal of marketing tools to include television in addition to the printed 

publications and online presence we were already utilizing,” said Moore.

“Since then, the Chamber's camera has continued to point at the key 

community events and covering issues of local interest and concern to 

our area,” he continued. “The result has been three solid years of 

successful television coverage of major business events in our community."

Not only has the hour-long weekly show been positive for Henderson as 

a community, but for the program sponsors and other Chamber members 

as well, according to Moore.  

Charles Boyd Chevrolet-Pontiac-Cadillac-Buick-GMC, Inc. has served as a sponsor of In Focus since the program’s inception three years ago.

“We believe that In Focus is a tremendous asset to the community,” said Brandon Boyd, sales manager.

“The program continues to update residents on where our business community is heading and what local commerce has to offer,” Boyd continued.

“In Focus offers our dealership the opportunity to both support the Chamber of Commerce and local business community while providing positive promotion to our business,” he added.  “I would encourage other businesses to consider the opportunity that this show can provide.”
