Super Duper Contest

I’d like to thank the 2007 board members for joining me in a contest to reward participation in chamber activities.

These board members reaped rewards in two ways: First, they found the value of attending chamber events like ribbon cuttings and business after hours and other special occasions – valuable opportunities for networking and exchanging ideas; secondly, they won great prizes like gift certificates to Wildflower Café, a gift basket from The Peanut Roaster and a year’s subscription to The Daily Dispatch. Thanks to each of those businesses for their contributions to the contest!

Here are the winners of the first Super Duper Board Member Contest: Honorable mention went to Dean Overby and Jenny Hester. Third place was awarded to Vanessa Jones. In second place with 539 points was Fern Ellington. And the winner, with 660 points, was Rudy Abate.

Thanks to all our board members, Ambassadors, the many other volunteers and the Chamber staff for a great year in 2007. Your new board chair, Fern, is supported by a hard-working group of people as she makes 2008 even better than last year!
